Meeting UK Fire Safety Standards

The Building Safety Act (2022) requires higher-risk buildings (including those containing more than two residential units, or being over 11m in height) to have non-combustible balcony decking with a fire rating of A2-s1, d0 or higher. Housing associations must ensure that their properties comply with these regulations. Our aluminium decking is tested to both A2fl-s1 (flooring classification) and A2-s1,d0 (external wall classification), the latter of which is essential to meet the stringent requirements of the Building Safety Act.

The safety of our products is not something that we take lightly at Dura. Every component of our aluminium decking range holds the correct fire ratings, and every colour in the product range has been tested to ensure it complies. Our products are tested in UKAS-accredited laboratories for accurate and trusted results.
