Compliant with UK Fire Safety Regulations

Specifying safe and compliant decking is now the top priority of architects in the UK, due to stricter fire safety regulations for buildings over specific heights. Ensuring all materials and practices used are fully-compliant with the latest government legislation is imperative.

Our aluminium decking is tested to both A2fl-s1 (flooring classification) and A2-s1,d0 (external wall classification), the latter of which is essential for balconies in residential buildings over 11m high.

Our porcelain decking range is A1 fire rated, the highest level of fire-rating. Because it’s completely resistant to open flames and extreme temperatures, it’s especially popular for applications like roof terraces and balconies.

One thing that’s important to note, is that unlike other products on the market, every component of our porcelain and aluminium decking ranges holds the correct fire ratings. We always use certification companies that are UKAS accredited and we place great emphasis on testing, so you can be sure you’re fully compliant.

Despite its strength, our aluminium decking is designed to be extremely lightweight, and therefore easy to transport and install, which is why it’s so popular for high-rise terraces and balcony applications.

Our patented aluminium range can meet the needs of all project specifications for both new and replacement balcony decking. Because it’s so durable too, it’s perfect for a range of applications.

Available in three colours, our boards offer a sleek, contemporary finish. Each has a double skin with an anti-slip surface and uniform underside to provide an attractive in-built soffit detail. They also provide a cooler deck surface than most wood or composite surfaces for extra comfort underfoot.

On the practical side, our aluminium decking has a 30-year warranty covering material or manufacturing defects, as well as a minimum life expectancy of 60 years.
