Teak GRP to blend in seamlessly with the stunning countryside.
Tattenhall Marina was due for a facelift, and its owners Lakeland Leisure decided that the quieter winter period was the right time to upgrade its marina infrastructure and replace the degraded timber pontoons that had long since been at their best. Lakeland Leisure work hard to make sure that all of their marinas regularly go through maintenance cycles, replacing old timber pontoons using modern materials wherever necessary.
Tattenhall is located on the Shropshire Union Canal and is one of the most popular attractions is the Four Counties Ring, a cruising route which takes in 92 locks in 97 miles and takes around 60 hours to complete. The settlement dates back to Roman times and is at the heart of the Chester tourist route with incredible places like Beeston Castle and Chester Zoo right on the doorstep, so its no wonder that floods of tourists come in waves to visit the marina.
Because of our long term collaborative partnership, Lakeland Leisure once again choose the beautiful Mini Mesh in Teak, which blended in seamlessly with the majestic countryside. The design life of 60 years and its non-corrosive, anti-slip and hard wearing attributes, were the deciding factor that ensures that they will not have to regularly replace our GRP Grating like the failing wood. We once again with our partners, Shoredeck, collaborating on design and supply through installing the perfect solution that was tailor-made for Tattenhall.
